Om dit op te lossen is een driver nodig met een versie ouder dan v3.4 ( Bron), installeer deze en pas het stuurprogramma aan naar v3.3 Indien men een PL2303 HXA chip gebruikt (nog steeds volop in omloop) wordt deze niet meer ondersteunt door Windows 10, je krijgt dan de volgende melding te zien:
